KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce announced Friday that it’s endorsing the Killeen ISD’s proposed $426 million bond package. The chamber’s Public Policy Council and Board of Directors voted on Wednesday to support the proposed bond issue.

The Red Lion Hotel at 803 E. Central Texas Expressway opened with a roar, bringing a fresh face to Killeen’s hotel scene. At a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, hosted by the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, one of the hotel’s new owners, Kulwant Singh, thanked Killeen officials for giving him guidance.
