Chamber Priorities

The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce provides vision, leadership and support to business and
community leaders to create economic prosperity.  As an extension of this mission statement our board adopts a set of priorities that influences the day to day operations of the Chamber.  The number one benefit to being a member of the Chamber is knowing that there is an advocate for these priorities.

Priority #1 - Fort Hood

Collaborate with others to ensure that Fort Hood is fully utilized (50,000 troops).

Priority #2 - Aiport Business Expansion

Capitalize on the Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport.

Priority #3- Start Up, Retain, Expand and Recruit Industry

Focus on programs that will lead to the creation and recruitment of jobs with competitive wages in the services, manufacturing and retail sectors.

Priority #4 - Higher Education

Assist in establishing Texas A&M University-Central Texas as an upper-level, stand-alone university.

Priority #5 - Community Image

Improve the image of the community and assist in the development of a brand for the community.
